Godrej Industries Group has signed an MoU with the Haryana Government for proposed investments of around ₹20,000 crore, with the potential to create nearly 40,000 jobs across the state.
The investment plan could give a major boost to Haryana’s residential and commercial real estate market, particularly Gurugram, where Godrej plans significant expansion.
₹16,000 Crore Planned by Godrej Properties
Godrej Properties has already invested around ₹11,000 crore in Haryana and plans to invest another ₹16,000 crore by FY28.
The company currently has 18 projects across Gurugram, Sonipat, Faridabad, Panipat and Kurukshetra. Its upcoming projects are expected to create more than 11,000 jobs.
Gurugram to Get ₹3,500 Crore Office Investment
Godrej Ventures, the group’s real estate private equity business, plans to invest another ₹3,500 crore in Grade A+ office infrastructure in Gurugram.
The proposed office developments could generate more than 30,000 direct and indirect jobs, strengthening Gurugram’s position as a commercial hub for multinational companies and GCCs.
What It Means for Haryana Property Buyers
The planned investment could increase demand for homes, rental properties, offices and supporting commercial spaces around major employment corridors.
For homebuyers and property investors, the combination of new housing projects, Grade A+ offices and job creation could make upcoming development zones around Gurugram particularly important to track.
Godrej Group Already Has ₹12,000 Crore Footprint
The group said it has invested around ₹12,000 crore in Haryana so far and employs approximately 9,000 people across its businesses.
Godrej Capital also operates five branches in the state and has facilitated around ₹550 crore in bookings through its financing business.
Grihik Angle: A ₹20,000-crore investment plan is not just a corporate expansion story. For Haryana’s property market, it could mean more jobs, new housing demand, office development and stronger rental opportunities. Gurugram is likely to remain the biggest beneficiary as Godrej expands both its residential and commercial footprint.
